Seward Alaska in the fall.

The evening before Bev’s Alaska’s Fresh Tracks adventure began we received a phone call. Bev was going thru some serious time crunch stress. That night we made a trip to her house and picked up some bicycles and extra outdoor gear she had packed for herself and her CA. friends George & Maureen.
DSC01929DSC01925After picking up Bev in Wasilla we were off to the airport to pick up her long time friends. A quick tour of Anchorage then we made our way down the Turnagain Arm, stopping at Potter March for some bird watching and exercise. Then to a local ale house the Brown Bear for a nice burger, pool, short rest and to meet some locals, then finishing the drive and spending a quiet night in Potter Valley.
The next day our three guests enjoyed the Alaska Conservation Center, then all the beautiful fall colors on our way to Seward to set up camp for a few nights on the beach of Resurrection Bay.
Seward’s Sea Life Center and camping on Resurrection Bay was how they spent the next day.
Waking early in the morning for some sourdough pancakes they were set for a Kenai Fjord Tour of Resurrection Bay. One could not ask for any better weather no wind, no rain, calm sea’s and plenty of sun and wildlife!
Changing there plans to go north to Denali Park because of the threat of snow, they where able to take some time and hike Exit Glacier in Seward and the detour a little father south to Hidden lake campground for some more campfires and hiking.
Making our way back to the Mat-Su valley, with plenty of stops to enjoy Alaska’s fall colors it was time for lunch. Girdwood’s Alyeska Resort has a short tram ride to the top of the ski slopes with a few restaurants and fantastic views of Turnagain Arm.
The next stop was Bev’s place on the Iditarod Historic Trail. We wrapped up there adventure by touring the Iditarod Headquarters and Museum topped off with the Iditarod movie, and as no trip would be complete they finishes their trip with souvenir shopping in Wasilla. Then it was time to drop Mo & Go back off at the airport and take Bev back to her house to unload the motorhome. The End.
